I’m Jørgen, a 3D artist turned lighting designer, based in Denmark. For years, I’ve worked with architectural visualizations – helping people imagine warm, welcoming spaces long before they were built.
But I always felt that something was missing. I wanted to bring those digital dreams into the physical world – to hold them, to shape them, and, most importantly, to light them.
That’s why I started FlowForm.
... FlowForm is about making light feel natural again. Each lamp I design is 3D printed using sustainable materials like wood-based PLA. I try to merge organic forms with modern simplicity - inspired by nature, but made with tech.
It’s a quiet rebellion against throwaway design and harsh lighting. It’s light with soul.
I’ve always been fascinated by light. Not just as something functional, but as something almost spiritual – a symbol of life, energy, and atmosphere.
Light is a powerful medium. It shapes how we feel, how we focus, and how we connect. Living in Scandinavia, with its long winters and brief, bright summers, I’ve always been especially sensitive to light.
I wanted to design lamps that offer not only beauty and function, but a kind of presence – something that feels alive in the room. FlowForm is about combining thoughtful technology with a soft, natural aesthetic. It’s about embracing imperfection while striving for quality. I hope the lamps I create bring a little more warmth, awareness, and inspiration into the everyday.
Starting FlowForm has also been a way for me to reconnect with the tangible world. For years, my professional life revolved around pixels – beautiful, precise, and controlled.
But there’s something deeply satisfying about creating a physical object and seeing how light plays across its curves in real space. 3D printing bridges that gap for me. It allows for quick experimentation, minimal waste, and an ability to bring ideas to life in a matter of hours – not weeks or months.
This blog will be a space to share my thoughts on lighting – both the technical and the emotional side.
We’ll explore how to light your home well, what makes good light quality (CRI, color temperature, etc.), and why smart lighting isn’t just a gimmick. I’ll also take you behind the scenes on the creative and manufacturing process.
